Grocery Shopping with Dr. Sara: 5 Quick, Healthy, Detox-Friendly Foods
Do you feel too busy to prepare nourishing food? Me too. That means I’m constantly scouting for food that’s easy to eat on the run, or that’s amenable to a quick assembly at home.
Today, I want to share with you my favorite upgrades that I’m loving—and all are compliant with The Hormone Reset Detox! Even if you’re not detoxing, these are low-allergen options that are healthy for all.
When you’re looking for foods to eat while detoxing, I recommend that you avoid any food with sugar in the top 5 ingredients. Stay away from processed foods, and try to keep your food as clean as possible.
5 Quick, Healthy Detox-Friendly Foods:
1. Brussel Bytes.

They have standards that make me weep for joy: NO processed refine oils, sugars, gluten, grain, legumes, NO cooking with plastic, aluminum, technique that introduce toxins, umami, and NO using ingredients that sound like chemicals.
Inspired by their daughter with Hashimoto’s disease and how food healed her autoimmunity, owners Bobby and Yrmis are my new BFFs and I fully support what they’re doing. This week I picked up my mint-scented red and green cabbage slaw, leaf-to-root turnips and shiitakes, plus truffle salt, coconut oil and Yucan crunch cracker (made out of 100% yuca root fiber, free of gluten and grains).
